Dreamwork
Why is the interpretation of dreams important for us? We know that our dreams have the power to influence us and according to John Overdurf and Julie Silverthorn, in their book "Dreaming Realities" , the dream has a purpose- to convey messages. They also claim that every dream is a "metaphor" of our life. We can use a dream and look it from each level of our life, because everything in life is joined in a holographic way. Everything is a reflection of all other things. Dreamwork reveals significant issues in our lives. It doesn't matter what the context of the dream is, because everything is a holographic representation of everything else. In answer to those people who claim that they don't remember their dreams, John and Julie say that we remember what is important for us to remember. Even if it's just a flashback from a nap (or doze), or a single picture from a dream, it's enough. Sometimes this makes it easier to interpret because there's not so much work of interpretation. It's like reading a dictionary; you don't have to read everything to understand the meaning of one word, because you can immediately find the desired entry and read it. Our unconscious mind and our higher conscious mind know how to do it for us. We only have to remember one thing - the essence of the dream, and everything else will be taken care of. Why do we dream? 1. Learning 2. Processing daily information 3. Predictive dreams 4. The dream is a gateway between the unconscious and conscious minds If we were to dream: what symbols would there be for us? We use NLP to interpret the messages which our unconscious brings up in a hidden fashion (through symbols). Solving the riddle of the symbols, enables us to enrich the conscious and higher conscious minds with the treasure that is hidden in the unconscious. |
